Non-madness

Longevity we have somehow separated: health of the body vs. health of the mind. Yoga and meditation and even reading are new weapons focused on prolonging the latter. We strive for mental agility as we did for slim. Michel Foucault’s Madness and Civilization describes the small historical revolutions that transformed the meaning of madness and now draw us to fight for lifelong mindfulness. From being defining of the human condition, madness becomes crime,  illness, and most terrorizing, a return to the status of a minor. We push against descent into childhood.
